 ExperienceBeing users of Actinic for many years, we have experienced many of the issues people come across with hosting setups and the variety of problems encountered. Using this experience we have constructed our own packages to suit Actinic users. All of our packages will run Actinic from the box.
Easy setup with your own dedicated cPanel to set up SQL databases, email accounts, ftp accounts plus many other useful functions. You have control of your hosting plan and are only limited by the package you have.

 Our Hosting PlansWe have a selection of hosting plans that can be ordered online and automatically setup. It normally takes around 15mins for the payments to clear and the server to be configured for use.
Once you have signed up for a hosting plan you are automatically emailed confirmation with your settings and passwords. This just leaves you to change your name servers of your domain to ours and upload to your site.

 Testing Your SiteIf you want to upload your site before you change the NS records for your domain then this can be done. Details are in the knowledge base with the url's required, this allows you to upload and test your site. The biggest plus with this is that when your name servers transfer the site will already be there. Once the DNS changes have settled down, you simple need to change your network settings to your full domain name and refresh your website.

Actinic SettingsWe have all the details on our website and in the knowledgebase for you to copy to your text editor. Then its just a case of changing the url's to your own (replacing mydomain.com with your own) and your ftp username and password. We try to make things easier for you but we are around to help if you get stuck.

Shared SSLWe offer all our clients a "Shared SSL" environment. This means that if you require a secure checkout then you can use our shared server certificate for this. Some of our clients prefer to use one, some do not. It's there and it's FREE the choice is yours.

 SSL CertificatesIf you require a SSL certificate for your site then we can arrange these for you. These add-ons can be ordered through your client area. Remember if you need an SSL then you will also need a Static IP.
The lowest priced Static IP and SSL certificate will cost £100 per year. A little amount for peace of mind. Remember this means your url would be https://www.yourdomain.co.uk

 Server UptimeWe monitor our servers from many location around the world and in the event of a server issue we will be emailed and also sent a text message alerting us to the possible problems. We will nearly always be the first to know of a problem and you can be assured we will be working on it should something go wrong.
We openly advertise our server uptime, unlike a lot of hosting companies that manipulate the uptime using various techniques we pride ourselves on being honest.
100% uptime - Well we can promote this it's easy to do. We could quote that the server has been online 100% of the time, but we would not tell you over what time period this has been. You might think this is wrong and you would be right it is, but it also go's on.
Some hosting companies us pings to check the server; this does not tell you the http service has stalled though. The http service is important, if there is a problem then people can't see your site.

 SupportWe are here during normal office hours, and to be honest out of hours and over the weekends more times than not. Should you require support then you can email us but it would be better to use the support ticket system in your client control panel. "Out Of Hours" support tickets are answered as soon as possible.
Should you find your site is not responding we always recommend your try to access it through a proxy server before you contact support? It is not uncommon for people to have there IP address blocked from the servers due to many invalid password attempts, and too many ftp connections at once.
